February, traditionally the shortest month of the year,
yielded more free beats, tunes, general reading, long articles, nostalgia and
infographics than you could shake a _____ at.
Highlights included some absurd editing by a chap with far,
far too much time on his hands to make the Beatles appear to be doing
a pretty great cover
of The Prodigy classic "Smack My Bitch Up",
a tumblr with Peanuts comics using OFWGKTA lyrics
to stupid effect, the dude JAMES PANTS making available his sweet and
hard-to-find mixtape "Ice Castles" for free (and also announcing he is coming to my town in March),
Diplo choosing the cream of the crop from Tumblr (so you don't have to),
the fifth mixtape/collection of mashes
from The Hood Internet, heaps of free hooks
from @AesopRockWins (some of the funniest tweets available to mankind),
a mixtape from Lil B with 676 songs
you wont listen to + a bunch of other shit listed below for you to pick and
choose from.
